Sylvia is an Empowerment Coach who specializes in personal finance, leadership, team development and engagement. Her motto is “your business is my business.” Sylvia's passion is to be a cornerstone of support for women, entrepreneurs, small business owners, the youth of today and the leaders of tomorrow. Sylvia entered the finance industry after being given an opportunity to be educated in the field of accounting and bookkeeping through a grant issued by the DOL. Sylvia completed that EDWAA Program at CUNY College of Staten Island in 1998. She continued her studies at SUNY Empire State college where she completed her degree in Business Studies with a minor in accounting. In 2005 Sylvia made the decision to start her own business, this decision was liberating and life changing. Over the years Sylvia has served numerous businesses and individuals from various industries within the New York Metropolitan area. Sylvia has invested her time solving the personal finance problems that individuals face. Sylvia created and launched the Money Talks personal finance program in April 2021. This program supports with financial literacy, budgeting, savings, record keeping, and monitoring in a group or individual setting. Over the years Sylvia has revealed her knowledge of business consulting, accounting, bookkeeping, audit preparation, business operations and financial services through workshops, trainings, and consultations. She has assisted businesses with professional development programs, she has also led workshops and trainings in the areas of career planning, job readiness skills, StrengthsFinder, DISC assessment and leadership. Clients rave about Sylvia’s team building workshops.
